Traudl - a history
schön is the newest venture of Traudl Troska, the fashion designer behind the renowned Von Troska label. Traudl is always one to follow her passion. So after leaving the world of fashion behind her, she now devotes her time exclusively to jewellery design.

Rock and Roll beginnings
Born in Germany, Traudl began her working life in Hamburg doing publicity for CBS Records. There she rubbed shoulders with the likes of Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Meatloaf and Johnny Cash. Life was rock’n roll.

Loving the land down under
While looking after Australian band, Sherbet, Traudl falls in love with Australia then meets the love of her life and future husband Steve Sledge. Australia becomes her home.

A fashion empire
Beginning with a stall at the Paddington Markets, Traudl and Steve work together to grow the Von Troska fashion label across five Sydney stores in the CBD, Paddington, Mosman and Double Bay.

The dawn of a new era
After selling the Von Troska stores in 2006, Traudl is free to work exclusively on designing and creating jewellery for schön.
